Elizabeth Reaser (born Elizabeth Reaser) is an American actress, who was seen in TV, films and plays. Elizabeth was both born and raised in Michigan. From a young age, Elizabeth wanted to become an actor. In the years following her graduation from high-school She enrolled at Juilliard's drama program and earned a bachelor of Fine Arts. Her debut on TV was as a co-star in The Sopranos. Then, she was a part of successful television shows such as The Jury Hack and Standoff. The beginning of her career came after she got the part in the role of Alice Alden, in the program Saved (2006). The following years, she played major roles in television shows including Greys Anatomy, The Good Wife as well as True Detective. Her appearances in movies included Liberal Arts, One and Two as well as in the entirety of five episodes in The Twilight Saga.

Jessica knew the role she was playing required training in weapons. After studying the script she recorded the first part of her lesson with an expert. Jonathan Glassner stated that they were awestruck by Jessica's performance at the beginning of her training. It was the first time she had acted in a US major role as she has previously appeared in Australian movies. The character is based on Jessica's passion for action by utilizing her mixed disciplines of horse riding, martial arts as well as weaponry skills and athletic abilities enabling her to also do her actions and fully embody the strong female character.
